Semi-Pro Division
Taking first place in the semi-pro division was this years classic champions Kenny Eargle of Leesville, SC and Sonny Bundrick of Little Mountain, SC with a total weight of 17.31 pounds and taking home $750.00. The team was fishing deep brush in Lake Moultrie using live bait.
In second place was the well-known team of Dennis Outlaw and Russell Rush of Camden, SC with 11.18 pounds and receiving $600.00. Outlaw and Rush were fishing brush piles in deep water with their B�M Poles, out of their Ranger Boat equipped with a Minn Kota trolling motor. The team caught their fish on AWD baits, jigs and live bait.
Third place went to Jackie Hite of Leesville, SC and Russell Anderson of Saluda, SC with 10.51 pounds and receiving $400.00. Hite and Anderson were fishing brush using plain jig heads with live bait.
Ellis and Jon Cannon of Chapin, SC took fourth place with 10.02 pounds. Kinney Goff of Batesburg, SC and Terry Shealy of Leesville, SC finished fifth with 9.31 pounds of crappie.
Amateur Division
In first place in the amateur division was the team of John and Matthew Varnadore of Swansea, SC with a total weight of 11.7 pounds and winning $500.00. The team fished brushpiles in 15 feet of water using live boat.
Taking second was Bobby Whitlow SR and Bobby Whitlow JR of Clover, VA with a weight of 9.52 pounds and recieving $275.00. The Whitlows fished ledges in 11-17 feet of water using Slider and Uncle Hentry's jigs and live bait.
Third place went to David Hinson and Rusti Richardson of Lancaster, SC with a weight of 9.07 pounds and receiving $200.00. The team was trolling 8-12 feet of water.
John and Judy Johnson of Swansea, SC took fourth place with a weight of 8.86 pounds and receiving a check for $125.00. The Johnson's trolled early using Culprit jigs then switched to hair jigs fishing brush later in the day.
Finishing in fifth place was the team of Billy and Kathy Williams of Cochran, GA with 8.5 pounds.
The top male/female team of the event was Earl and Karen Roberts of Tampa, FL with 3.81 pounds.

Mitchell Reels Big Fish Award
Taking first place in the Mitchell Reels big fish contest was Kenny Eargle and Sonny Bundrick with a beautiful 2.41 pound Santee crappie. The team received $196.00 for big fish. In second place in the big fish contest was Vernon and Lynn Self of Myrtle Beach, SC with a 2.34 pound crappie and taking home $84.00.
