The Santee Resort is a beautiful 100 room motel offering deluxe accommodations. The Resort sign towers over the trees at the 102 Exit off I- 95 in North Santee, on Lake Marion, South Carolina, USA. 

      Mr. and Mrs. Nick Lucas, of Myrtle Beach, purchased the Motel and Restaurant, opening the doors to the Motel  August 15th. The Family Restaurant will be opening soon.

This incredible lake system, Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie, is home to  3-world record and 4 state records catches with over 122 miles of shoreline. You could visit the Santee National Wildlife Preserve to see the Santee Indian Mound and Fort Watson, hunt hundreds of thousands of acres of  Wildlife Game Management Areas, tour the Elloree Heritage Museum, or shop for antiques in any of the fine shops in the area. The beauty of Santee is that you can enjoy the serenity, comforts, and convenience of the lakes and still be within an hours drive of scenic and historic Charleston.

     "We stay at The Lighthouse Motel every time we visit Myrtle Beach. The rooms are big, airy and comfortable. If you're looking for the Ritz with room service, this is not the place for you. But if you want a clean and friendly home-away-from-home on the beach where you can sit on your balcony and watch the surf and seagulls, The Lighthouse is perfect. The office personnel (especially Bob) is very area-knowledgeable and has steered us to good local restaurants and shops and away from the tourist traps. The restaurant on the pier directly behind the hotel offers the best breakfast in town. They have rooms specifically for people who travel with their pets and some of those room are also efficiencies (#204 is our favorite!). The Lighthouse is so central to everything on the Strip that we rarely use our car once we arrive at the hotel. We love the Lighthouse and can't wait until our next visit!"
