Saturday, June 12th Blounts Landing on Lake Marion near Rock's Pond hosted  their 5th Annual Bream Tournament.

After daily storms proceeding Saturday's Tournament, blue skies, mild breezes, with temperatures in the  high 90's didn't slow the 46 contestants, 60 fish limit, Bream catches on Lake Marion.

Donald Weatherford & Darrell Pratt, of Eutawville,  won 1st place Total Weight of 24.15 lbs, catching their fish on crickets in 2 feet of water off of Sixteen Island.

Taking Second was Ferrell "Tip" Tippet  & Walt Cordina of Eutawville with 21.6 lbs using crickets.

Third Place & Biggest Fish was Henry Leggett of Summerville's Henry's Feed & Seed and The Tradin' Post in Cross with his son, Wade weighing in at 20.5 total weight and the biggest fish at 2.11.

Volunteers cleaned the fish for the fish fry while the children cooled themselves in the lake.

After gratefully thanking all the sponsors and fishermen  Donald Weatherford, who began this annual tradition, announced the tournament  will have a different location next year.
